Teachers can now bring art directly into their classrooms by borrowing our Teaching Collection. Education staff and interns collaborated with Curatorial staff to assemble three portable cases of ORIGINAL ART from different cultures: two sets come from 20th-century western Africa and one set originated in the Americas. Each portable case of objects includes a binder full of resources for the classroom, including contextual information, timelines, maps, classroom suggestions, and lesson plans. Teachers can also make use of digital resources, including an introductory video and PowerPoint presentations. The Teaching Collection provides teachers and their students with a FREE unique opportunity for an unforgettable hands-on learning experience.
