Drawing Cool Shapes: The Art of Shade & Light (Teens ages 13-18)

This introductory class will be so much fun, and the students will discover the elements and principles of drawing while learning how to depict the light and the shadow. Working from both observation and imagination, we will explore simple objects, cubes, drapery and plaster casts. Using pencil, kneaded eraser and blending stumps, we will create very well-balanced compositions, rich in details, textures and patterns.
