Christine Lyons spent her childhood in Santa Barbara, California, then moved to a Philadelphia suburb.
She studied Art and English Literature at Wheaton College in Illinois, then after graduation, took one term at St. Anne’s College, Oxford University, England, in English Literature.
An art educator awarded National Board Certification twice, Christine teaches for Palm Beach County Schools and in the outreach program for the Boca Raton Museum of Art School, bringing museum programs to afterschool facilities.
She has won national recognition as a garden designer, and has spoken at the Philadelphia Flower Show and presented at several NAEA (National Art Education Association) conventions on the topic of Art and the Garden. She was awarded Scott’s Miracle Gro Classroom teacher of the year, and designed a contest for the US Botanic garden in Washington, DC, for children to draw their state flower.
Christine enjoys creating mixed media, drawings, watercolor paintings and jewelry at her home studio in Boca Raton.
