Daniel Listwan is a multidisciplinary artist and educator whose artwork is driven by scientific curiosity and a passion for the natural world. Daniel’s work references both the aesthetic of ancient artifacts from natural history museums as well as the pop/science-fiction aesthetic of 1980’s action figures. His experimentation in combining varied techniques, styles, and media has enabled him to educate students through innovative and unique approaches. Daniel studied a range of processes while earning a B.F.A. in Visual Art at Cardinal Stritch University before completing an M.F.A. in Ceramics at the University of Miami, with additional studies at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Penland School of Crafts, and Chautauqua Institution of Art.
