My love never started with art education. It began with an appreciation of the reality of creating. After high school, I held a myriad of positions that strengthened my fascination with teaching the arts. I was a docent, volunteer teacher, museum education trainee, artist mentor, student ambassador, and camp art director. Now, As a junior high art teacher and art education graduate student, the vision became clear. Even though teaching was not in my original playbook, history uncovered my passion and revealed Art education as my hidden gem.
