A year later she started her own metalsmithing workshop and embarked on her journey as a jewelry designer. All of Sol's pieces are designed and made by hand, and created using high-quality materials including gold, silver, precious stones, and semi-precious stones.
Throughout her career, Sol has participated in a multitude of events, such as fashion shows, bazaars, music videos, private ventures, and more. Among the most prominent are the Miami Funk-Fashion - Fashion Week, Miami Fashion Week, American Heart Association, Make a Wish, and American Developing Smile. In 2013 she received the award for Excellence in Accessories during the Miami Fashion Week.
In 2016 Sol became a teacher at the Boca Raton Museum, sharing her methods, techniques, and passion for creating jewelry with her students.
In 2019 Sol was recognized with the Boca Raton Mayor's choice award at the 33RD Annual Museum Art Festival in Mizner Park
Over the past 13 years, Sol Filippi has launched 7 collections of her own designs and handmade pieces, making her one of South Florida’s emergent fashion designers.
