A Message from our Director:

The Boca Raton Museum of Art shares in the outpouring of grief and anger at the senseless loss of Black American lives, including those of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery.   We stand in solidarity with those around the world, as we work towards demanding an end to racism, inequality, and any form of discrimination.

Art can create social change.  Our Museum has a long-standing commitment to working within the Black community to ensure that we represent artists of color in our collections, exhibitions, and programs.  Our partnerships with the historic African-American community of Pearl City have led way to many transformative experiences, conversations, and collaborations during the Charles McGill and Maren Hassinger exhibitions.  However, we can do better, and we can do more.  We will continuously work towards inclusion while utilizing our platform and resources, as we strive to be a Museum for all.

We are committed to the ongoing work and process of learning, listening, and creating—moving forward together through conversations, and our actions.  We will continue to share updates about these specific actions and initiatives in the months to come.
