Join us for this exclusive event with film historian Patricia Ward Kelly, the widow and official biographer of Gene Kelly, as she shares insights about her late husband's life and work, especially the films An American in Paris and Singin' in the Rain, which are featured in the new Boca Raton Museum of Art exhibition, Art of the Hollywood Backdrop.

Patricia Ward and Gene Kelly first met at the Smithsonian in 1985, when he was the host of a television special for which she was a writer. Soon after, he invited her to Los Angeles to write his memoirs, a job for which she recorded his words nearly every day for over ten years. Currently, Patricia is completing a book about her late husband. As part of this work, she is preserving and cataloging The Gene Kelly Archives, and extensive collections of letters, manuscripts, photographs, scripts, interviews, essays, poems, and memorabilia.

By invitation only from the Boca Raton Museum of Art for Museum Members at the Patron level and above with our compliments.
