Make connections between Visual Art, Social Studies, and ELA through the study of ancient Andean cultures and their artifacts. Educators learn about the historical and artistic content of the exhibition Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru and how to connect ancient art objects with students’ everyday lives.
Educators participate in a hands-on workshop focusing on symbolism in the Andean world and then explore the galleries to view the artifacts in person. Educators obtain concrete tools for integrating the artwork into their classroom curriculum.
Educators may register through their Palm Beach County School District portal.
